Rangers won 5 in a row and made it 84 points in the standings. They are now 7th in the standings and are three points clear off Buffalo Sabres. However there is no time to relax as the Sabres have one game in hand and Carolina is trailing with 78 points, also with one game in hand.
Rangers will face the second worst team in the league, Ottawa Senators. Senators have had a terrible season and the only positive out of this season seems to be the acquiring of goaltender Craig Anderson. He will be the number 1 goalie for the Sens for the next two seasons. ->Read more »

Flames with 75 points are at 8th place in the standings but they are being chased by Dallas Stars, Minnesota and Anaheim Ducks so every home game is critical for them. tonight they will take on the Jackets who who dropped three in a row and fell behind in the playoff race.
Jackets lost in Edmonton last night and made it three losses after a three game winning streak last week.
Flames are 5-5 in last 10 and are coming off a 4-6 loss against the Blackhawks.
This is going to be the fourth time these clubs face each other this season and the Flames had won 2 of the first 3 matches.
