NY Islanders @ Carolina

What a start to the season for the Carolina Hurricanes. They will try to avoid a 14 game losing streak tonight. They lost 12 games in regulation. Nothing looks to get better as they have lost Cam Ward to injury. They started their last game with Legace and lost to the Los Angeles Kings despite a comeback from 2-0 in the third period.

Eric Staal is also another missing player for tonight's game against an Islanders team coming off a 5-4 shoot out loss in Washington. Islanders had a 4-2 lead but they couldn't stop the Capitals team in the third period and then lost in shoot out.

Islanders are also having injury problems as forwards Doug Weight and Kyle Okposo are both sidelined. ->Read more »

New Jersey Devils @ Pittsburgh :

Losing four games of the last five was not exactly what the Pittsburgh Penguins expected to see when the Penguins started a road trip after losing a home game to the  Minnesota Wild.

Penguins were blanked in Boston after they were also shut out in San Jose. 5-0 was the score against the Sharks. Then the 3-0 against the Boston Bruins.

Gonchar, Malkin, Talbot, Kennedy and Letang are still out for the Pittsburgh Penguins and things have been going worse and worse without these players.->Read more »
