Having lost three games in a row Caps will return to the capital city and they will face the Montreal Canadiens for the second time on home ice this season. The first game was played in November and the Canadiens had won that game 3-2 on road.

Canadiens were shut out by the Buffalo Sabres and Ryan Miller on Sunday after winning two game on road. Their return to the Belle Center was not really good for them. They are 2-4 SU in last 6 games against the Washington Capitals on road.
