San Jose Sharks @ Detroit Red Wings:

Two strong teams and great players on both sides. We knew every match in this series would be tight and they surely have been exciting. Detroit played pretty good in both games but Sharks scored powerplay goals in both of the games and it made the difference. Sharks are now visiting the Wings at Joe Louis Arena with a 2-0 healthy lead.

Wings have always been good against the Sharks at Joe. Detroit is 13-4 SU in its last 17 games when playing at home against San Jose. They were however beaten by the Sharks in the last match at Joe. 3-2 Sharks victory despite Detroit's 52 shots on goal was mostly because Nabokov had an amazing performance in that game.->Read more »

Detroit Red Wings @ SJ Sharks:

Sharks played a very good first period against the Red Wings in the opening match of the series. Wings then tried to rally back but Sharks managed to win it and they took the lead in series.

Detroit Red Wings struggled on penalty killing. 2 of 4 Sharks goals were from powerplays and they were also poor on powerplays as they went 0 for 5. Special teams obviously need to step up tonight.

In regular season we had seen Wings beating the Sharks 3 times in 5 games. They had easy wins in San Jose in January and February.->Read more »
