San Jose Sharks @ Detroit Red Wings:

Two strong teams and great players on both sides. We knew every match in this series would be tight and they surely have been exciting. Detroit played pretty good in both games but Sharks scored powerplay goals in both of the games and it made the difference. Sharks are now visiting the Wings at Joe Louis Arena with a 2-0 healthy lead.

Wings have always been good against the Sharks at Joe. Detroit is 13-4 SU in its last 17 games when playing at home against San Jose. They were however beaten by the Sharks in the last match at Joe. 3-2 Sharks victory despite Detroit's 52 shots on goal was mostly because Nabokov had an amazing performance in that game.

Wings outshot the Sharks in first match but Sharks were strong in second game. Especially in third period Sharks were all over Detroit. Couple of 5 on 3 powerplays helped the Sharks outplay the Wings and the fact that some of the Wings players like Lidstrom had a lot of ice time, Wings were exhausted in the final minutes of the game.

Sharks may have a 2-0 lead but this series will not be over soon. I am expecting at least 6 games in this series and I believe Wings will be able to win this one and make it 2-1.
