When their 14 game winning streak came to an end, Capitals faced another team in a similar situation. They faced the Ottawa Senators who also had a winning streak snapped before that game. Senators and Capitals played a fantastic game and both teams kept scoring goals. Senators had a lead, and then the Capitals did. Senators fought back and won the game 6-5 in the end.
