The Islanders have impressed me this season. Not only with great players like Tavares and Okposo but also with their abilities in penalty shoot outs. They are one of the few teams that are good on shoot outs and they proved it again in their latest game against Predators on Tuesday. They came back from a two goal deficit and tied the game with 12 seconds remaining in the third period and then won it in shoot outs.
That was the first time New York Islanders won a game in 8 matches. And that was the end of a seven game losing streak. Now they will try to improve on their road record against a team they lost two of three times this season.->Read more »

Florida Panthers @ Carolina Hurricanes:
Carolina Hurricanes are 16-2 against the Panthers in their last 18 meetings. Canes have been winning back to back games since January and they are coming off a two game winning streak. They beat the Buffalo Sabres 4-3 at the HSBC Arena and kept climbing up the standings.
Panthers dropped three games in a row. They are 2-2 against the Carolina this season as both teams won on home ice.
