Second meeting between these clubs this season. Edmonton Oilers had won the first match 3-2 back in November.
Avs were having a pretty good season until the home defeat against the Los Angeles Kings. They dropped two matches more, losing to Minnesota Wild and then Detroit Red Wings. All losses came on home ice and maybe a road trip that starts with Oilers game tonight will help them bounce back.
