Despite taking 40 shots on Panthers goal last night, one mistake costed highly to the Wings as the Panthers cancelled out Pavel Datsyuk's goal late in third and eventually win the game in overtime.
Osgood was back in goal last night but the Red Wings are looking forward to having Flippula and Franzen back in the squad. They failed to score on numerous chances.

Buffalo Sabres is not a team used to defensive mistakes, that was the case against the Florida Panthers. 6-2 loss at home. Ryan Miller vs Tim Thomas could be what decides the winner tonight. Two great goaltenders will face each other in this matchup. It was the Boston Bruins who won the first game of the season in Boston with a score of 4-2.
Now the Sabres have a chance to even it up and get back to winning after the huge loss against the Panthers. Boston Bruin will have Marc Savard back soon but not tonight.
