Despite taking 40 shots on Panthers goal last night, one mistake costed highly to the Wings as the Panthers cancelled out Pavel Datsyuk's goal late in third and eventually win the game in overtime.
Osgood was back in goal last night but the Red Wings are looking forward to having Flippula and Franzen back in the squad. They failed to score on numerous chances.
Canadiens was however celebrating a remarkable road win against the Capitals last night as Carey Price showed what he is capable of once again. He stopped 32 shots and most of them came in the third period.
These two teams are meeting the first time this season and the Canadiens have won two in a row and three of the last five while the Wings have lost two in a row after a three game winning streak.
Last night's loss was not about the lack of offense but the lack of putting the puck in the net. They may see another good goaltending performance as Carey Price has been very good.
Still, I don't really think the Canadiens are strong enough(especially with injuries) and playing good enough to beat the Red Wings. You never know when the Red Wings are going to explode like they did last Saturday. (beating the Ducks 7-4)
