Having lost three games in a row Caps will return to the capital city and they will face the Montreal Canadiens for the second time on home ice this season. The first game was played in November and the Canadiens had won that game 3-2 on road.
Canadiens were shut out by the Buffalo Sabres and Ryan Miller on Sunday after winning two game on road. Their return to the Belle Center was not really good for them. They are 2-4 SU in last 6 games against the Washington Capitals on road.

You never know when a team would stark streaking. Noone would have expected from Pittsburgh Penguins to lose five games in a row but they did and they will try to snap that losing streak tonight when they take on another streaking team.
Thrashers have been losing back to back games too. They have lost their last two games despite scoring 8 goals in total. They seem to have no problems in scoring goals but their defence is letting them down. Thrashers have scored 8 goals in last 2 games but they have allowed 10 goals.
