Now the Sabres know they can depend on their backup goaltender Lalime after he stopped 39 shots when they beat the Chicago Blackhawks at the HSBC Arena. Sabres won two games in a row after losing to the Rangers and the Devils on home ice.

Rangers are not playing as they used to play early this season and they have won only once in their last five matches. The single victory was against the Buffalo Sabres last weekend. Ryan Miller had stopped 30 shots but the Rangers were able to score twice to beat the Sabres. Sabres had a lot of pressure in third period but Henrik Lundqvist was sharp.->Read more »

Washington Capitals @ Toronto Maple Leafs:

Toronto Maple Leafs will take on the Washington Capitals at the Air Canada Centre tonight. Toronto are 10-14-7 this season but they have been playing better and winning games recently.

They on three of their last five including two home games. They beat the Thrashers and the Islanders at the Air Canada Centre last week.

They were however not so good against the Boston Bruins as the Bruins destroyed the Leafs in both games, both of them in Boston, with scores of 7-2 and 5-2.->Read more »
