Hawks were in Phoenix last night against the Coyotes. They were still without captain Jonathan Toews despite the fact that he skated in the morning. Avalanche have injurcy concerns too. They have dropped two games on road against the Canucks and the Sharks. However, they were more than happy to go back home and win another hockey game on home ice. They won all the games on home ice.
Without defensemen Preissling and Salei, and forward Tucker they definitely have struggled in some areas but they have been perfect at the Pepsi Center.
Another interesting record; Colorado is 17-6-2 SU in its last 25 games when playing at home against Chicago. They only lost 6 games in regulation against the Hawks. That is also very impressive. Go for the Avs on home ice again.
