It's getting worse for the Avs. They have been losing back to back games due to a long lost of injured players and it only got worse when Peter Forsberg announced that he retired.
Colorado team have their problems and so do the Penguins. Crosby, Malkin, Cooke, Letestu, Asham, Comrie and a few more players are all out. They lost two games in a row in New York, first to the Islanders and then the Rangers.
This will be an interesting game as both teams are depleted with injuries. Avs have dropped 9 of their last 10 games and Penguins are struggling. I still think the visitors have a better chance to win this one. Avs looked much worse than the Pens in their latest game when they lost 1-9 on home ice against the Calgary Flames.

Flames will try to beat the Avs for the third time this season when they meet in Colorado. Avalanche have only won 1 game in the last 10 and they are 4th in Northwest division with 56 points, 8 points behind the Calgary Flames.
Flames have 7 wins in last 10 games but they are coming to this game with a two game losing streak. They suffered another defeat at the hands of Vancouver Canucks on Sunday.
Kiprusoff will make another start for the Flames while the Avalanche has Budaj listed as their goalie tonight. Budaj has a 3.55 GAA against the Flames.->Read more »
