Flames who have played five games on road in a row are now going to LA to the Staples Center. They are coming off a regulation win over the San Jose Sharks who were given their second regulation loss on home ice this season. Jokinen scored for the Flames to win the game in San Jose following some great saves by goaltender Mikka Kiprusoff. He will start again tonight.
LA Kings lost their last game at the Staples Center against the St Louis Blues. They couldn't keep the Blues from scoring late in third and despite scoring an equalizer with seconds remaining, Blues won it in shoot out. It was Kings' first shoot out loss on home ice this season.->Read more »

They destroyed the Philadelphia Flyers 8-2 on Saturday when the Flyers welcomed their new coach Laviolette. 8 goals on 30 shots without their top scorer Ovechkin showed what this team is capable of even without their star player.
