Free NHL Pick: NY Rangers @ NJ Devils

May 21, 2012

If you can't score, you won't win games. If you can't beat Lundqvist, you won't beat the Rangers. If you take almost 40 shots and can't beat Lundqvist once, then you need to change a thing or two. If I was the head coach of Devils, I would have made some changes, instead of calling Rangers player Prust a "headhunter". That's never going to help his team and he should know that better.

(From NHL.com)At the team's morning skate in Sunday, Josefson was between Alexei Ponikarovsky and David Clarkson. Adam Henrique was centered the second line with Patrik Elias and Ilya Kovalchuk. The top line had Travis Zajac with left wing Zach Parise and right wing Dainius Zubrus. Petr Sykora will likely be a healthy scratch for the Devils on Monday.

So we are going to see some changes! For Devils' sake, it better work for them this time.

Coming to tonight's game, this is the game Devils decide their fate, in my opinion. It's not like they are going to lose the series tonight but if they give Rangers the chance to go home with a 3-1 lead in pocket, Rangers will finish them off. That's what I think, at least.

Rangers goaltender Lundqvist is great but he's not unbeatable. Brodeur on the other side, might have looked average (to his standards) but it's not like he is not going to start with his shut-outs. Maybe he will begin tonight. Who knows?

Devils are not easy to predict but I will go with them once again. Yes, they lost the last game but it wasn't for the lack of trying. They were all over the Rangers for the majority of the game but Kreider's goal frustrated them and they could never come back from that. Once again, my money is on Devils.
