We have got two premium picks today:

Carolina Hurricanes @ Dallas Stars

Dallas Stars 6-2-2 will host the Hurricanes who are 3-4-3 in last 10 matches. Stars are one of the best home ice teams in the NHL with a 10-3-1 record at American Airlines Center.

When these teams met in November, Stars beat the Canes 4-1 in Carolina. They are 8-0-1 SU in last 9 games in Dallas against the Canes.

Stars however dropped two games in a row after winning three consecutive games which two of them were at American Airlines Center. They lost those two games on road and now they return home to bounce back.

Canes have only two wins in last five matches and they are 5-7-2 on road this season. They lost their latest match 5-2 in Nashville on Saturday and they have not played in the last five days.

According to the latest news, Lehtone is still out and Raycroft will make the start for the home team while Cam Ward with a 2.68 GAA will start in Carolina goal.

I still like the Stars in this one. Canes have not been any good on road this season and Stars are desperate for this win tonight.

PICK: DALLAS STARS TO WIN [Moneyline]

Tampa Bay Lightning @ Edmonton Oilers

4 game winning streak was a rare one for the Oilers and it ended against the Ducks when they lost 3-2 on Tuesday. They have allowed only 8 goals in last 5 games and it looks like they are getting better and better in offensive areas as well. They have scored a total of 17 goals in last 5 matches and it's a big progress over their 2.67 Goal average of this season.

Lightning have lost three of their last five and lost their latest match in Calgary with a score of 4-2. Their penalty killing has not been sharp and they have allowed at least one powerplay goal in last four games.

Khabilibulin will start for the Oilers tonight and we will see Dan Ellis in Bolts goal who is 5-1-0 against the Oilers.

I like the performance of Oilers in recent games. They surely had some problems early season but it looks like they are getting better. However the latest injury to Horcoff will make it difficult for them as they are also without Hemsky. These two players have 33 points combined and it will damage their offense remarkably.

Stamkos had an amazing start to the season but he has not been impressive in latest games. However this is a good chance for him and the Lightning to start winning back to back games and points.

With the injuries, this one looks like a very tough one for the Oilers. I will go with Tampa Bay in this one.
