A terrible call by the referees last night which canceled out Capitals goal with 8 seconds remining in third and our premium pick lost. We hope to get a little lucky tonight with four picks.

1) Columbus Blue Jackets @ Buffalo Sabres:

Blue Jackets have had great success against the Sabres in recent games and they will try to end their skid tonight.

Sabres are 5-4-1 in last 10 games. They have not played in last 5 days so they are well rested for this game. Their home record is 4-8-1 and they have been better on road with 5 wins in 7 games.

Jackets are one of the best road teams in the NHL with a 8-2-0 record. Garon will start tonight in Blue Jackets goal while Ryan Miller is expected to start for the home team.

Considering the poor record of Sabres on home ice, I have decided to give two picks for this match. Jackets are very good on road and they have been very good against the Sabres as well.

PICK 1: Columbus Blue Jackets to win [lost]

1 unit @ 2.30 [best odds at betus.com]

PICK 2: UNDER 5,5 GOALS [win]

2 units @ 2.15

2) Colorado Avalanche @ Carolina Hurricanes:

Avalanche, 6-3-1 are visiting the skidding Carolina at RBC Center tonight. This will be the first meetting between the teams this season. Last season, each team had won on home ice.

Avs might welcome back Craig Anderson tonight in goal while Cam Ward will make another start for the Canes.

Canes have lost three consecutive games at RBC Center while Avs have only one win in last four games after a four game winning streak.

I like Avs in this one. Canes have been playing pretty bad and with Anderson's return, I expect Avs to start getting better. Underdog pick of the night.

PICK: Colorado Avalanche to win [Moneyline] [lost]

1 unit @ 2.15 [bwin.com]

3) NY Islanders @ NY Rangers

After stopping the long losing streak, Islanders beat the Devils but they lost last night to Rangers. It was a wild game with both teams taking leads in the game but Islanders couldn't stop Gaborik scoring three goals and assist on another.

Gaborik has four goals in last two matches. Christensen and Avery are also pretty good and this trio makes a great offense for the Rangers team.

Islanders on the other side need to work on their defensive problems. They are having difficulties in scoring and they have allowed 20 goals in last 6 games.

Roloson will be the starter for the Islanders tonight while Lundqvist is going to start again for the home team.

The performance of Rangers offense is impressive. Islanders will surely be all out attacking tonight. Scoring 5 goals last night was not enough to beat the Rangers. They also need to tighten up the defense and stay out of the penalty box.

I will go with OVER in this one. I am not expecting big changes after last night's game and both teams should be able to score plenty of goals to take this game OVER 5,5 Goals.

PICK: OVER 5,5 GOALS [lost]

2.15 [betus.com]
