There are 5 games tonight in the National Hockey League and we have two premium picks.

1) St Louis Blues @ Chicago Blackhawks:

Blues experienced their first regulation loss(-at home) this season when they lost 2-1 to Dallas Stars. They are now visiting the defending Stanley Cup champions who have won the last two games. Hawks are 5-4-1 in last 10 and they are coming off a 2-1 win over the Kings on Saturday.

Blues are still without their points leader David Perron and TJ Oshie. This is the main cause for their skid. Defenseman Polak is also out with a wrist injury. Hawks are not 100% healthy either. Marian Hossa is injured and so is Fernando Pisani.

Ty Conklin will start for the Blues tonight while we see Crawford between the pipes for the Blackhawks. Crawford has allowed two goals or less in last six matches he has played.

Blues will continue to struggle until they get back Perron and Oshie in the lineup. Hawks are getting better as the season progress. I will go with the Blackhawks in this one.

PICK: CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS TO WIN [Moneyline] [WIN]

3 units @ 1.70

2) Atlanta Thrashers @ Colorado Avalanche:

Red hot Thrashers are visiting the Avs who are dealing with several injuries. Thrashers have won five games in a row and they are 3rd in Southeast division with 27 points.

Byfuglien leads the team with 9 goals in scoring while goaltender Pavelec has a 1.62 GAA.

Colorado is 7-4-0 on home ice this season and they are ranked 2nd place following Vancouver Canucks. However Chris Stewart who leads with 11 goals is injured and will miss tonight's game. Without Stewart it will be interesting to see how the Avs respond. They had an offensive explosion in 7-4 win over the Minnesota Wild.

Thrashers with Pavelec in goal and with the form of Byfuglien should be able to match the fast game of the Avalanche. This is the underdog pick of the night.

PICK: ATLANTA THRASHERS TO WIN [Moneyline] [WIN]
