Two premium picks today.
Columbus Blue Jackets @ Detroit Red Wings:
Wings have been playing well and they secured their place in playoffs. They still can do better in standings and try to match another team instead of the Sharks or the Hawks.
Red Wings will face the Blue Jackets at the Joe Louis Arena tonight for the fifth time this season. Detroit has beaten the Jackets in three of the last four meetings and the first one was an ugly one for the Jackets. Wings beat the Jackets 9-1 in Columbus on November 11th 2009. They are 8-1 in last 9 games at home against the Jackets.
Jackets are coming off another road loss on Monday night when they were beaten by the Blues. It was the third loss in a row.
Detroit had beaten the Jackets 3-2 last week when Mason made 29 saves but couldn't avoid the defeat.
Jared Boll, Hejda, Clark, Klesla, MacKenzie are all out for the Jackets and Detroit are healthy except for Kirk Maltby.Steve Nash for the Jackets is a game time decision.
Red Wings had spent most of the season with injuries and poor form of its key players. They have been playing with a healthy squad for a while and it showed in results. They are often very successful against the Jackets and with the playoff spot secured, they now have a chance to improve.
PREMIUM NHL PICK: DETROIT RED WINGS TO WIN [Regulation]

Toronto Maple Leafs @ NY Rangers:
Buffalo Sabres wasn't going to let the Rangers beat them easaily and they didn't. Rangers impressive play off run came to a stop last night when the Sabres beat them 5-2. Lundqvist wasn't at his best and Rangers couldn't score more than 2 goals on Ryan Miller.
It is still not too late for the Rangers but they will have to keep winning and wait for their opponents to lose games at the same time. It won't be easy but they have start tonight on home ice by beating the Leafs.
Leafs might be without their top play Kessel tonight when they face the Rangers for the fourth time this season. In previous meetings Rangers beat the Leafs twice with the first one being the best one at the MSG back in October. (7-2 for the Rangers). Leafs won the last one in Toronto in March.
Leafs dropped four of their last five games and they are coming off a shut out loss against Piladelphia Flyers on Tuesday. They have scored only 11 goals in last 5 games and they were blanked on powerplays in last four.
Gustavsson will start for the Leafs tonight while Rangers will have Lundqvist between the posts.
I don't expect Rangers to make another mistake. Leafs have been playing poorly and Rangers should wrap this up in regulation.
