Today we have two picks

Carolina Hurricanes @ Montreal Canadiens:

Montreal is 2-10 SU in its last 12 games when playing at home against Carolina. They are in a very tight play off race now and they have 82 points at 7th place in the Eastern Conference. So this game is very critical for them. Canes don't have much of a play off chance but their number 1 goaltender Cam Ward is back and they are playing to win hockey games.

Canes beat the Thrashers on road after losing to them only 48 hours ago in Carolina. They also beat the Caps last Thursday and Cam Ward made 41 saves that night.

I am expecting a very tight game tonight as Canadiens will not want to make any mistakes. Cam Ward is usually solid and Price is another great goaltender. The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Montreal's last 6 games. The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Carolina's last 6 games. These all point to UNDER.

PREMIUM NHL PICK: UNDER 5,5 GOALS

Phoenix Coyotes @ Calgary Flames:

This is the best season for the Coyotes and they have 100 points only 4 short of the conference leaders San Jose Sharks. They have won 7 of their last 10 games and now they will try to stop the Flames at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

Flames are 5-5-0 in last 10 games and that's not exactly what you do when you are 4 points behind the 8th placed Colorado Avalanche. Detroit kept on winning last night when they beat the Oilers on home ice. That made it harder of a task for the Flames. Flames now have to win every one of their remaining 6 games and expect Avalanche to lose points.Avalanche also have a game in hand.

Flames beat the Capitals on Sunday out of desperation. They were beaten by the Boston Bruins on Saturday and they had no other option but take all 2 points from Capitals.

Tonight, we will see LaBarbera start as the Coyotes goaltender. Kiprusoff will once again try to help Flames push for the playoffs. They are 8-4 in last 12 games against the Coyotes on home ice. They beat the Coyotes at home back in November and I believe they will beat them again tonight.
