Devils won two of first three meetings and this will be the 4th time these clubs meet this season. Devils were beaten by the Rangers in their latest game after an excellent come back by the Rangers. It was the third loss in last five games for the Devils. Canadiens are coming to this with a victory in their last game but they also have lost three of their last five.

Last time they played at the Belle Center, Devils had won 2-1 and three games between these teams have been a fight of goaltenders.

Canadiens have scored only 11 goals in their last 5 games and the Devils scored 10 in last four games. Halak and Brodeur should give us another good fight between goaltenders. This should go UNDER 5.

2) Colorado Avalanche @ Phoenix Coyotes:

Coyotes were finally stopped by the Chicago Blackhawks after a 9 game winning streak. They kept on losing in Nashville when Predators won 4-3. They still play well and they even outshot the Predators on Thursday despite the defeat.

This is going to be the second meeting between the teams this month and Coyotes had won the first game 3-1 at Jobing.com Arena at the beginning of the month.

Colorado Avalanche are 18-14-5 this season on road and they have 89 points, at 7th place in the Western Conference. They have two games in hand compared to the Calgary Flames who rank at 9th place with 83 points. So they have a good advantage over the Flames.

Coyotes will be without R. Lang, Sauer and Scotti Upshall but they don't have any new injuries. Avs have four injuries, being, David Jones, Koci, Stephane Yelle and Brandon Yip.

Coyotes are 4-1 in last 5 games at home against the Avalanche. Anderson and Bryzgalov are expected to start for their teams tonight. I believe Coyotes will snap the two game losing streak.

NY Islanders @ Columbus Blue Jackets

Islanders started to have big injury problems and they started to lose games. They are without Rick DiPietro, Dustin Kohn, Andrew MacDonald, Martinek, Schemp and Doug Weight. Weight, Schremp and MacDonald were some of the best players of this team and now they are out for season.

Islanders had lost three games in a row but then they beat the Calgary Flames on Thursday with a score of 3-2. The victory came after poor performances on road against the Kings and the Rangers. They were unable to score any goals in two games. They however scored 5 on road against the Canucks and 4 against the Ducks before these games. So you never know when this team is going to surprise on road. Tavares is still playing good and he is a player that can make a big difference on ice.

Jackets had their best win of the season when they destroyed the Blackhawks 8-3 on Thursday night. It cames only 48 hours after losing in New Jersey with a score of 6-3.

They have three consecutive wins on home ice and this will be the first time they play the Islanders this season. They are 5-0 against the Islanders at home in last five games and also hold a record of 7-1-2 in last 10 games between the teams.

Jackets look close to a victory but the odds for OVER is quite valuable at 1.83.Both teams should play offensive and this should be a high scoring game.
