It was very unlucky for us last night. Both picks lost because Predators had all kinds of chances to score in regulation but they waited till overtime to start scoring and Red Wings came back from 0-2 to beat the Canucks in overtime's last second. That was the second buzzer beater for the Wings in two days. What are the odds of that? Sometimes it is just like that. Rant over... We have two picks today.
TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING @ FLORIDA PANTHERS
Both teams are coming to this game with losing streaks. Panthers suffered another defeat on home ice yesterday when they lost the game 1-3 against the Buffalo Sabres. Their penalty killing was perfect but their powerplay was terrible as they failed to scored on 6 powerplay chances. Now they will take on the Lightning who they already have beaten two times this season. Panthers won two of three meetings with the Lightning this season and this is going to be the 4th meeting of the season.
Lightning was against the Capitals last night. They were the winner a week ago in Washington but Caps turned things around in Florida to beat the Lightning 3-1.
Ryan Malone, Ohlund and Ranger are all out for the visitors while Florida Panthers are 100% healthy. The return of Horton helped them against the Coyotes at first but Vokoun's big mistake late in third left them with only 1 point in the end. I am expecting to see a better performance from this healthy Panthers team. Panthers have been good against the Lightning at BankAtlantic Center in previous meetings. They are 12-4 in last 16 games at home against the Lightning.
