Sabres are 4-4-2 in their last 10 games but they have been able to hold on to their number 1 place in the Northeast Division as the Ottawa Senators went 3-6-1 in this span.

Sabres lost another game on Tuesday when they visited the Thrashers in Atlanta. It was another one goal game and it once again went the wrong way for the Sabres.

Sabres dropped three in a row, against the Minnesota Wild, Detroit Red Wings and finally the Atlanta Thrashers.They have outshot their opponents in two of those three games but they were not able to score enough goals to win any of them.

Sabres have no injuries and they will face a Tampa Bay Lightning team who have been struggling as of late. Bolts lost four of their last five games and they were able to score only 2 goals in their last 2 games.

We will see Ryan Miller starting for the Buffalo Sabres and Nittymaki will be between the posts for the home side. Miller has a 2.21 GAA which ranks at 2nd place in the NHL.

Jason Pominville has six goals in last four games and he is the hottest Sabre night now. Connoly who is enjoying a great season, has three points in last two games. As for the Lightning, Lecavalier has had five goals in last seven games. Stamkos who has 17 goals this season did not score in last three.

Stafford won't be available for the Sabres while Malone is out for the Lightning. Ohlund, Konopka, Hale are all out for the Lightning team.

This will be a game I am expecting Sabres to snap their losing streak. They have lost by one goal in every one of those games and against the Lightning who are 1-4 on home ice in last 5 games and also 3-15 against the Sabres in last 18 games, I will certainly take Buffalo.
