Ottawa Senators @ Edmonton Oilers:

After the break, we see some positive signs in Edmonton Oilers. They have a winning streak after long long losing streaks that practically ended their season earlier than they could have ever imagined.

They beat the Minnesota Wild and then the New Jersey Devils, allowing only 1 goal in two games. That was pretty impressive for a team who owns the worst defensive record in the league.

They still have several injuries and it has been the story so far for them this season. However they have got some good young players that ignite this team at times.

Senators are doing the opposite. They suddenly started losing back to back games and they are not playing good at all. They lost on home ice in their latest game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Only 3 goals in 3 games and 3 losses is unacceptable for this team who had a winning streak that matched Washington Capitals winning streak.

They have been good against the Oilers beating them everytime in last four matchups. This will be the second game of this season, and the Senators won the first one back in November when they played at the Scotiabank's place.

Senators will try to snap their losing streak against a team they have dominated in recent games. Oilers will try to keep their unusual winning streak alive. Goaltender Deslauriers will hope to have another shutout after his remarkable performance against the Devils and Martin Brodeur. We will see Elliott start for the Ottawa Senators.

This should be a tight game considering the form of Senators offense and the top form of Oilers defense and goaltender Deslauriers.

It is also notable that Senators have only 2 powerplay goals in last 5 games while the Oilers have scored only one powerplay goal themselves in last 5 matches. I expect the offenses to struggle again tonight for both teams.
