Canadiens and Sharks will meet for the first time this season at the HP Pavillion. Sharks suffered another unexpected home defeat when they played against the Devils o Tuesday evening. Devils had an excellent start to the game and they took a 4-0 lead. Sharks responded with three quick goals in last period but it was too late for them to come back.
That was the second loss for the Sharks in a row as they lost against the Sabres before the break. That's also three losses in last five games for them.
We had seen Joe Thornton and Dany Heatley productions all season long but both players seem to have cooled down in recent matches. Thornton has only three points in last five games while Heatley has got two in last five.
Canadiens are coming off an impressive victory over the Boston Bruins. That ended Bruins winning streak and snapped Canadiens' losing streak of two matches.
Sharks will be hungry for two points tonight as they lost two in a row. They are also 4-1 SU in its last 5 games when playing at home against Montreal, but they don't play too often. Those 4 wins came in a 9 year span.
Injury wise, Sharks are very healthy at the moment. We can not say the same for Montreal team. They are still without M. Andre Bergeron, Cammeleri, Mara and center Olivier Fortier.
I am expecting San Jose Sharks to play much better tonight.They are healthy and some of their stars have been silent for too long. They should come up big tonight.
It's also going to an interesting matchup between goaltenders, Price and Nabokov. I am with Sharks and Nabokov tonight.
