Washington Capitals @ NY Rangers:

Capitals after breaking a franchise record are visiting the NY Rangers who have been losing back to back games on home ice. Rangers finally won a game on road and it was against Colorado Avalanche. However they lost in Los Angeles on Tuesday and that Colorado victory was the single victory in their last 5 games.

Caps are coming off another win. They beat the Boston Bruins on Tuesday despite some sloppy play in the first 40 minutes. Bruins actually played pretty good but they didn't take advantage of scoring chances and the Caps did.

In the last game between the clubs Caps beat the Rangers at the MSG with a score of 4-2 in November.

Rangers will be depending on their top scorer Marian Gaborik again. Gaborik had a wonderful night in Colorado as he scored three goals and ensured a victory for his team but he hasn't been scoring as much as of late.

I will go with the hot Washington Capitals team tonight. Rangers are not playing as a team right now and their scoring is limited mostly to Marian Gaborik. Moneyline odds are not good enough so take Caps win in regulation time.

Anaheim Ducks @ LA Kings:

Ducks are on a good run. They have gone 11 for 15 in their last 15 games and they will try to improve on their performance against the Kings when the teams meet for the second time this year. Last month Kings shut out the Ducks at the Staples Center 4-0.  That was the second time the Kings beat the Ducks this season in as many games.

Ducks played an excellent game agaisnt the Wings yesterday night. Actually it was mainly goaltender Jonas Hiller who stopped 46 of 47 shots to help his team win the game 3-1.

Hiller has been outstanding in latest games and he has allowed only 2 goals in last 3 games so expect another solid performance by him.

I will keep this one short, my selection will be based on the way Ducks play on road. They tend to stop their opponents first and then strike them in the 2nd or 3rd periods. That's how they beat the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning in their last 2 road games.

Both teams have good goaltenders that have been playing very well. Boths teams have been winning back to back games so it is difficult to predict the outcome. I will go with under 5,5 goals.
