We have two picks tonight.
Ottawa Senators @ Buffalo Sabres:
Ottawa Senators will try to make it 10 straight wins tonight if they beat the Buffalo Sabres one more time in this fourth matchup of the season between the two clubs. Senators are coming off an overtime win against the Montreal Canadiens. Sens had a 2-0 lead in the game but the Canadiens managed to come back and tie it at 2-2. Fisher's overtime goal made it a franchise record 9 straight wins for the club.
Sabres lost in Pittsburgh on Monday. They had a 3-1 lead in the second period but they couldn't stop Sidney Crosby who had a hat trick. Penguins scored 4 goals in quick fashion and Sabres' comeback attempt at the end of the final period was not enough.
Senators have been beating the Buffalo Sabres most of the time in recent years. They are 6-1 SU in its last 7 games when playing on the road against Buffalo. In the lat 10 games they have beaten the Buffalo Sabres 8 times.
The second game of the season at the Scotiabanks Place was very interesting. A depleted Senators team who played without key players like Daniel Alfredsson, Jason Spezza was still able to shut out the Buffalo Sabres.
Brian Elliot has been very good as the goaltender of the Senators too. He has allowed only 6 goals in last 5 games and helped his team break the franchise record of back to back victories.
Ryan Miller uncharacteristically allowed 5 goals on Monday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. He will start again tonight.
Games between these teams have never been easy to predict. It doesn't seem to be related to current forms or anything. We have seen the Senators beat the Sabres even when they won the president's throphy with a franchise record of victories in regular season. Senators are red hot at the moment and I will go with them tonight.
PREMIUM NHL PICK: OTTAWA SENATORS TO WIN
2.15 @ Bodog.com

2. Carolina Hurricanes @ Calgary Flames
It looked like the victory against the Edmonton Oilers that snapped Flames' 9 game losing streak was just about the Battle of Alberta spirit. They were shut out right after that against the Philadelphia Flyers. Flames will try to start winning games again and playing against one of the worst teams in the NHL can help them? Not really!
Carolina Hurricanes might be at the end of standings but they have not been playing like a bottom place team. They lost their last game in Edmonton but they had won back to back games right before that. Cam Ward has been a key player in those wins. He had been phenomenal until the game against the Oilers. He looked tired and he allowed the first two goals unexpectedly.
Flames traded players with Toronto and they are now without Phaneuff. They will have to spend some time adjusting to that. It is obvious the Toronto Maple Leafs got the best out of that deal.
This game will be the first between Flames and Hurricanes this season and the Flames are 6-2-1 in last 9 home games against the Canes.
Flames were able to score only 6 goals in their last 3 home games and all 6 came against the Edmonton Oilers. They were shut out by the Blues and the Flyers. The last shut out against the Flames was different from the shut out against the Blues. Flames had a season low 18 shots on goal against the Flyers and they really had no real chance to beat them that night.
Cam Ward will once again start for the Carolina team tonight and we will probably see Miikka Kiprusoff as the Flames goaltender. Two good goaltenders. Cam Ward has a 2.74 GAA while 33 year old Kiprusoff is at 2.24 as the 5th best goaltender in this category.
Flames have not been scoring many goals lately and Canes were good in stopping shots in recent games. I don't expect Flames to let Canes score easily either. This should be a tight game.
PREMIUM NHL PICK: UNDER 5,5 GOALS
