These are the second and third premium picks of the day:

Columbus Blue Jackets @ Minnesota Wild:

Today is the annual celebration day of the Minnesota Hockey Day 2010. The Wild fans will be cheering for this and the game against the Columbus Blue Jackets will be a big part of this day.

This is going to be the third time these teams meet this season with both teams winning games on home ice.

Wild have been losing hockey games since their impressive win over the Vancouver Canucks 10 days ago. 5-2 victory was then followed with a four game losing streak when the final loss was against the Detroit Red Wings at the Xcel Energy Center. Wings beat the Wild after a 3-3 tied game after 60 mins. The same score was there again in Dallas when the Wild lost against the Stars last Monday. Three losses in three road games followed by a home loss against the Wings will definitely motivate these players in tonight's Hockey Day game.

Jackets on the other side are coming off a victory in Boston against the lowly Bruins. It was another home loss for the Boston Bruins as the Jackets, outshot by the Bruins 34-25, managed to win the game 3-2 in the end.

Blue Jackets have been pretty good on powerplays in their last three games. They scored 4 powerplay goals on 11 attempts.

Minnesota Wild have been a very strong home team in this league. They are 16-6-2 at the Xcel Energy Center this season and in their last 10 games they went 4-1-1.

When we look at games between these teams we see that Wild have been very good against the Jackets at the Xcel Energy Center. Wild won 6 of the last 7 games against the Jackets on home ice. We should also take into account that the Jackets went 3-16 in their last 19 games on road this season. They are certainly not playing well on road.

Injuries

Jackets are once again without Rostislav Klesla and Marc Methot and Voracek are questionable. Wild are without Bouchard, Kobasew and Clayton Stoner.

Conclusion

Wild will be motivated because it's hockey day in the city. They are also coming off a four game losing streak so that's another reason for desperation. Jackets are coming off two road games so they may be a little tired. I expect the Wild to win this one in regulation
