NY Islanders @ Pittsburgh Penguins:

Who would have known that Islanders would beat the Red Wings 6-0 and the NJ Devils 4-0. They shut out both of those teams and also beat the Buffalo Sabres and the Phoenix Coyotes in between. Islanders are on a hot winning streak winning 6 of their last 7 and all of their latest 4 games. They will try to make it 5 wins in a row tonight when they visit the Pittsburgh Penguins who have been struggling of late.

Penguins have won three of their last five but suffered a huge loss at the hands of the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday. 6-2 score came after two consecutive victories on road against the Flames and the Oilers.

Penguins beat the Islanders in the opening game of the season series but suffered a loss in the second match. This will be the best Islanders team they will face in a long time. They are 5-0 in their last home games against the Islanders but tonight's game certainly promises a tougher competition.

Pens will be without forward Chris Kunitz. They will start wit Brent Johnson in goal as Marc Andre Fleury will be given a rest. Islanders are without forward Tim Jackman and defensemen Brendan Witt and Radek Martinek.

I am actually waiting a surprise tonight. Islanders have been playing excellent hockey and look at their recent results. It's just getting better and better. However, I will go with OVER 5,5 GOALS as I am expecting Islanders to play offensive tonight and we know the Penguins won't ever settle for anything less than a victory at the Mellon Arena. This game promises to be a scoring gallery.
