Premium NHL Picks : Jan 14 - Triple Pack

We have three premium picks today and we have decided to write them all together in one post.

1) Florida Panthers @ Tampa Bay Lightning:

There is significant improvement in Tampa Bay Lightning in the last 10 days. They had an impressive win over the defending champions Pittsburgh Penguins, lost in Buffalo but then beat the Devils at the Prudential Center. They were not really good against the red hot Philadelphia Flyers but they had a whopping 7 goal performance against the Washington Capitals. So that's three wins in last five games. Panthers lost against the Caps in a heart breaking style last night. They had a 4-1 lead but the Caps equalized the game in third period. Panthers had a powerplay and two great chances to finish it off in overtime and on top of that two chances to finish it off in shoot out but they lost the game in the end. They are 11-12-2 on road this season and they lost the first game against the Tampa Bay in October. Bolts play good these days and I will go with them.

2 ) Ottawa Senators @ New York Rangers:

Senators are probably the unluckiest team in the NHL these days. They have so many injuries and it is getting worse and worse. They have lost five games in a row. Ottawa are still without captain Daniel Alfredsson, Jason Spezza, Milan Michalek and Winchester. Leclaire is a doubt and Kuba is day to day. They are going to face a team that has no injuries. New York Rangers are healthy as they can ever be and they have only suffered one regulation loss in their last 10 games. They are coming off a 1-0 loss against the Devils and Martin Brodeur who stopped over 50 shots and win the game in shoot out. When they played at the MSG the last time. They beat the Dallas Stars with a score of 5-2 and before that they beat the Boston Bruins 3-2. Senators lost to the Thrashers in their latest game and that was the biggest lost this year. 6-1 was the final score. Sens have serious scoring problems as they have scored only 5 goals in their last 5 games. They conceded 22 in this span. Rangers should win this one in regulation. Sens are way too depleted.

3) Anaheim Ducks @ Los Angeles Kings

Kings had been having a great season but they suddenly started losing games and they have won only three in their last ten games. They suffered yet another loss on home ice on Monday when they were beaten by the San Jose Sharks. That was the third loss in a row after losses against the Detroit Red Wings and the St Louis Blues. The only game they scored more than 3 goals this year was the game in San Jose. They beat the Sharks for the second time in San Jose this season and that was even better than the first one. We will once again see Jonas Hiller in goal for the Ducks tonight. He has been playing really well of late. He made critical saves in third period last night and kept his team's lead against the Bruins. It's not easy to play back to back games but I think he has proved he can do this before. Ducks lost Teeme Selanne again last night. The experienced player took a bouncing puck in his face and he will be sidelined for at least a week. Despite the injury to Selanne, Ducks have been playing excellent in recent games and they are pretty good playing defensive on road. They may frustrate the desperate Kings tonight. I will go with another Ducks victory. The odds are very valuable for this match.
