Avalanche continue to surprise us every game. When we expect them to play good and win, they lose, when we expect them lose, they come out big and win. That's because they have a young squad and it is common for the young squads to be inconsistent through out the season. We have been talking about young players Duchene and O'Reilly but O'Reilly seem to be have cooled off in the last weeks. Duchene has been excellent on road but we have another player shining in this team, that's Yip. Brandon Yip has scored 4 goals in his last 5 games and he had 2 points in the latest victory on road against the Buffalo Sabres.

Flames are returning home after an impressive victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday. They got even with the Canucks after losing a game in Calgary before. They are now 3-1 against the Canucks this season. 

Calgary Flames are 12-8-2 on home ice this season but the last time they played on home ice, the Jackets handed them a 3-2 defeat despite 40 shots on goal. Jackets goaltender Mason stopped 38 shots that night to help his team win the game.

Colorado Avalanche are struggling with some injuries and we wont see David Jones, Adam Foote, Salie or Svatos return tonight. As for the Flames they are pretty much all healthy. They are only without one player that is Craig Conroy.

This will be a very tight game tonight. I am looking forward to seeing this one and I am expecting the goaltenders to put out a good show.Craig Anderson and Miika Kiprusoff will be on the ice for their teams. Colorado has allowed 15 goals in their last 5 games and the Flames have allowed 11 goals in last 5 games. All three games between these teams ended with same scores 3-2 so it has been just under 5,5 goals in every game. Expect another competitive game tonight.
