Colorado Avalanche @ Columbus Blue Jackets:
One of the best road teams in the NHL is the Colorado Avalanche. They will visit the Columbus Blue Jackets who have lost 11 of their last 12 games. They seem to have big problems right now. They managed to beat the Detroit Red Wings last Monday but then dropped two games in a row. First against the Islanders and then the Predators on home ice.
Avalanche are coming off a loss in Detroit. They have won three of their last five including two road victories in Minnesota and Ottawa. Note that those two road victories came against two of the best home teams in the NHL. It's a rare loss for the Senators and the Wild on their home ices.
Avalanche have beaten the Jackets twice this season in as many games. First win was in Columbus early December and the second one came in Colorado two weeks later.
Jackets have a serious problem with scoring goals. They have scored only 5 goals in last five games and they couldn't score more than one goal a game. That's the worst record in the NHL. Their defence is also the third worst defence in the league, allowing 3.3 goals per game.
Avs are going to be without David Jones and Ruslan Salei while the Jackets are without defenders Methot and Klesla and forward Dorsett.

Colorado is 15-8 SU in its last 23 games when playing Columbus.
Columbus is 1-11 SU in its last 12 games.
I am expecting Avalanche to keep improving their road record against the lowly Jackets tonight. They have already beaten them twice and this looks like it's not going to be much different.
