Jackets have been playing their worst hockey of the season as of late. They have dropped all of their last five games. Their latest loss came against the Colorado Avalanche. They started the match pretty bad and Avs scored four quick goals. After that it was a mountain to climb and Jackets couldn't do much about it.
Coyotes has been very consistent. Except their latest game in Anaheim. They were frustrated by the Ducks goaltender Jonas Hiller. It was one way traffic in the majority of the first period but it was the Ducks who took the lead. Final score was 4-2 in the end, with Hiller stopping 39 shots. Coyotes failed to score on powerplays and their penalty killing wasn't at their best. They let the Ducks score twice on powerplays.
Last week these teams met in Columbus and the Coyotes win it 2-1. Goaltender Bryzgalov was goog again as he stopped 38 shots.
Jackets have allowed a total of 17 goals in last 5 and they scored only 8. Their offensive problems continue. They are still without defender Klesla and forward Dorsett. Other than that they are pretty much healthy. Coyotes injury list have only one player on it, defenseman Kurt Sauer.
Coyotes are 8-3 in their last 11 games and they are 5-0 in their last 5 homestands. They are also 6-1 against the Columbus Blue Jackets in the last 7 games.
Coyotes play very good hockey on home ice and they are 12-5 this season. Jackets are 6-9-3 on road.
Coyotes are a well balanced team with good defense, good goaltender and good offense. They should be able to win this one in regulation.
