Pittsburgh Penguins @ Philadelphia Flyers:
Now that the Flyers have lost the first two games against their rivals Penguins, they will take another shot at it at the Wachovia Center, Philadelphia. It was all one way traffic in the game last weekend. The game started with back to back fights and the energy was amazing on the ice, however Penguins didn't really struggle finding the back of the net, and they did it six times!
Laviolette must be finding it difficult to start his job with back to back games against the defending Stanley Cup Champions. He seemed to have figured out the defensive problems when they beat the Boston Bruins with a score of 3-1, but it turned out to be wrong against the Penguins. Including the 6 goals against the Pens, they have allowed a total of 15 goals in the last 5 games. Their powerplay is still having difficulties and they have scored only 2 goals on 19 tries.
Penguins have no injuries this time, making them the strongest team in the NHL. Flyers are not that lucky. They are still without number 1 goaltender Ray Emery, forwards Simon Gagne, Blair Betts and Darrol Powe and defenseman Tollefsen who got injured recently.
In both games we saw how these teams wanted a victory and both of those times it was the Penguins who were successfull. Flyers will be desperate again. Despite the better performing defense of the Flyers and the fact that it went UNDER in 4 of 6 road games of Pittsburgh, I am expecting another high scoring duel between these teams.So I will go with OVER.
