Devils suffered a rare home defeat at the hands of the lowly Florida Panthers last night. They started the game pretty good but Panthers took advantage of their first scoring chance to take a 1-0 lead.
Now they will try to beat the Flyers who changed their coach recently. Laviolette registered his first victory on Tuesday before getting shut out by the Ottawa Senators at the Wachovia Center.
Flyers are still without many players. Ray Emery is out, Simon Gane, Powe, Ross and suspended Carcillo are all injured forwards of this team.
As for the Devils, Clarksson is still out and it is damaging the offense of this team. They are also without Zubrus and Paul Martin.
Tonight we will see Martin Brodeur and Boucher starting tonight.
It looks like Laviolette started his job at Flyers by fixing the defensive problems first. They allowed only 4 goals in the last two games. This is important for a team with great offense but struggling on scoring.
Flyers offense was good against the Islanders but they scored only 8 goals in the last 5 games, with 6 of them against the Islanders.
Devils will be more conservative tonight and I am expecting defensemen to help Brodeur much better than last night.
