New Jersey Devils are still struggling with injuries. Forwards David Clarkson, Pandolfo and Zubrus are on IR. Defenders Paul Martin and Oduya are also out indefinitely.

They still have been finding ways to win hockey games with the help of Martin Brodeur. It was not a usual game for record breaking goaltender as he allowed 3 goals in first period and a total of 5 goals against the Canucks.Except that game Devils allowed only three goals in the last three games. They have scored a total of 16 goals in the last 5 games but 6 of those goals came agains the Islanders.

This will be the third meeting this season between these teams and Devils won first two in Tampa Bay. 4-3 and 2-1 victories were no surprise to us as the Devils have been excellent on road this season. They are now 10-2-1 on road.

On home ice they are 7-5 but they have been improving it by going 4-1-0 in the last 10 games.

Lightning have dropped three games in a row with the last one coming in Boston on Wednesday. Despite outshooting the Bruins 40 to 39 Lightning scored only one goal against Tim Thomas, another great goaltender.

Devils coach Jacques Lemaire said after he last practice "A little harder than usual, definitely,". pointing out to the intensity he wants from his team after the disappointing loss against the Canucks. Lemaire said they adjusted their defense. So expect a conservative Devils tonight.

Devil will react to the loss on home ice against the Canucks and I expect a good performance from them. Brodeur was not happy allowing 5 goals so he will be more concentrated and will receive more help from his defensemen. Devils should warp this up in regulation.
