We have three premium picks for tonight, Here is the first one;

Edmonton Oilers @ Detroit Red Wings:

Two teams that are struggling with injuries are meeting tonight at the Joe Louis Arena. Red Wings however at least have top players that are able to play while the Oilers have a long long injury list. Oilers are without Taylor Chorney (D), forwards Mike Comrie, Ales Hemsky, Robert Nilson, Fernando Pisani, Puliot, Ryan Stone and Horcoff, Khabibulin are day to day. Khabibulin is not expected to return tonight so we will see Deslauriers again.

Oilers suffered a huge loss in Vancouver on Saturday after just losing in San Jose. Canucks demolished the Oilers 7-3 despite some good performance by the visting team in the third period. They had 34 shots on Luongo's net but they only capitalised on three of them while the Canucks scored 7 on 35 shots.That was the third loss for Edmonton in consecutive games.

Red Wings didnt win last week. They lost three games in a row and they could score only 1 goal in 180 minutes. That was very disappointing for a team that has played two Stanley Cup Finals in the last two seasons.

However they bounced back from last week and won two games in a row since weekend. Last victory came at the Joe and the Red Wings beat the Dallas Stars with a score of 4-1. 32 shots on goal and 4 goals was not so bad after last week's "40 shot but no goal" shutouts.

Detroit Red Wings 7 games out of 10 against the Edmonton Oilers in the last three years. They won all four games last season and also the single game of this season that was played in Edmonton in October.

Wings are also without forwards as Franzen, Flippula, Williams, Eaves are all out along with defenders Kronwall, Lilja and Rafalski. (day to day).

So many injuries for the Edmonton Oilers and they will face a team they didnt have much luck in the recent years. Detroit Red Wings have won two in a row and they have a chance to climb up to second place in the Central Division tonight.

Detroit Red Wings should win this one in regulation. Oilers have way too many problems to beat a team they have been struggling against for years.
