Second premium pick of the day:

Ottawa Senators @ San Jose Sharks:

After losing to the Blackhawks on home ice, Sharks went on road and they won two games in a row against Edmonton Oilers and then the Vancouver Canucks. They particularly played very good against the Canucks. We know how good Canucks are on home ice and Sharks came back from an early 1-0 Canucks lead to win the game 4-2.

Since the start of the season everyone has been talking about Danny Heatly & Joe Thornton. This duo have been playing very well and they have scored some goals together. Heatley has been scoring goals and Big Joe Thornton kept assisting like he always does.

Sharks powerplays has been around these two players. San Jose is second best in the league in power play goals with 1.0 per game.Except the game against the Hawks, they have been strong. Penalty killing has also been strong too. San Jose leads the league in penalty killing at 86.4%. Senators are not too bad in killing penalties too.

Senators coming off a 4-3 shoot out loss in Boston have won 3 of the last five and the last road regulation loss came against the New Jersey Devils. They have injury problems. Leclaire is still out and so are forwards Donovan and Neil with defender Volchenkov.

Sharks are pretty healthy and they are only without forwards Shelley and Staubitz.

Ottawa is 5-8-4 SU in its last 17 games when playing San Jose. Sharks are 7-1-2 when they at the HP Pavilion this season and that single regulation loss was against the Chicago Blackhawks.Senators are 3-4-1 on road this season and those three wins came against Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens and Florida Panthers. Not really the best teams on home ice.

Sharks will be back at the HP Pavillion and the last time they were playing there, they left the ice with some humiliation. They need to forget that tonight and the fans will be hungrier for a win, so are the players.

I am expecting a solid performance by the Sharks and they should wrap this up in regulation time.
