This is the first premium pick for today. There may be another premium pick in the following hours.

PITTSBURGH PENGUINS @ NY RANGERS:

It's been only 48 hours since the Rangers left the Mellon Arena with huge disappointment. 8-3 was the final score and after losing to Tampa Bay Lightning with a 5-1 score, it was even worse.

Only 33 shots by the Penguins and 8 of them found the back of the net. Henrik Lundqvist allowed 5 goals in Tampa and it was Stephen Valiquette who allowed 8 goals in Pittsburgh. It looks like both goaltenders look out of form.

Lundqvist the King is expected to start tonight and he has to come out strong if the Rangers are to get even with the Penguins.Rangers are going to be without defender Wade Redden and forward Brandon Dubinsky. They surely are missing the services of Dubinsky who had 10 points in 18 games.

Rangers lost two games in a row and three out of the last five. They are probably one of the most inconsistent teams in the NHL. You never know when they are going to explode like they did last week on home ice against the Blue Jackets. They destroyed the Jackets last Monday with an impressive score of 7-4. The only inconsistent element has been Marian Gaborik. Gaborik has 35 points, 19 goals and 16 assists. That is absolutely amazing. He has been scoring goals and made it look so easy to take the lead in scoring in the National Hockey League. He is also second best in assists right behind Sharks' Joe Thornton.

Penguins have won 4 of their last 5 games with the single defeat coming against the Islanders. Penguins have injuries and Kunitz and defender McKee are both out indefinitely. Matt Cooke has been suspended and he won't return until next weekend.

Penguins scored 19 goals in the last 5 games , 8 of them coming against the Rangers on Saturday.

It is not easy to decide who is going to win tonight. Inconsistent but hungry Rangers or top form Pittsburgh Penguins who already destroyed the Rangers two days ago?

I will go with OVER for this match. I am expecting Rangers to keep the offense as a priority as I don't really think they can rely on a defensive play against the likes of Malkin and Sidney Crosby. They will feel like they have to win this game and they will start aggressively. Penguins won't hold back either. They are already confident and they just want to repeat the job done on Saturday. This should be a high scoring game.
