At the Joe Louis Arena, Detroit Red Wings coming off five victories in six games, are going to take on the Anaheim Ducks who have dropped five of last six.

Red Wings have beaten the Ducks three times in four games last season and they won both games in Detroit.

Ducks lost to New Jersey Devils and then the Columbus Blue Jackets in their last two games. Detroit on the other side has been pretty impressive with goalie Howard conceding only 2 goals when the Red Wings outscored their opponents 12-2. They won games against the Blue Jackets and the Canucks.

Henrik Zetterbeg had not started the season on a high note but later he started to play much better and in the last two games he has had two points each.

Kronwall also has been amazing as he had five points in the last two games. After the game in Toronto when the Red Wings felt the lowest this season, they exploded against the Columbus Blue Jackets. 9-1 victory was more than what Mike Babcock could expect from his team.

Ducks have not played well this season. Center Getzlaf however has been continuing to score in every game as he has had points in all of their last 10 games.

Injuries:

Ducks will be without Saku Koivu while Red Wings are still without Flippula, Franzen, Lilja and probably Maltby.
