One of the elite teams in the NHL, Sharks did not make a good start to the season but things got better as the season progressed. They have gone 5-0 in their last 5 games and the latest win came in Carolina. They conceded the first goal of the match but then came back to win the game comfortably. They have always been a good team on road especially last season and this year they are 6-4, which is pretty good for road games.
Blue Jackets have been having trouble in the defensive areas. They concede 3.54 goals per game and that is way too much to keep a good record.
Their offense won their last game in Washington as they tied the game late in third and won it with an overtime goal.
These two teams met once this season and Sharks won that one in San Jose with a score of 6-3.
Sharks still miss Setoguchi, Mithcell and Pavelski meanwhile Jackets have their own injury concerns. They will be without Modin, Hejda, Murray and Tyutin tonight.
The win in Washington will boost the performance of the Jackets however it will be much harder to beat a team like Sharks who have been winning against top teams in the NHL like the Avalanche and the LA Kings.
Still, don't expect less than the offense of both teams, they should be able to score enough goals to make it a 6 or more goals game tonight. The total has gone OVER in 6 of Columbus's last 7 games.

PHOENIX COYOTES @ COLORADO AVALANCHE:
Absence of forwards, Tucker, McLeod, Hendricks and Galiardi must have hurt Avalanche's offense as they could score only 10 goals in their last 5 games and they lost to San Jose Sharks and then the Canucks with only 1 goal scored in San Jose. Although, McLeod is expected to return tonight. That is definitely a plus for the home team.
The young talents Duchene and O'Reilly were not productive against the Sharks and the Canucks. Their powerplay was not good against the Canucks either. Stastny and Wolski are team leaders as both of them have 13 points. Then comes Hejduk and O'Reilly with 11 points.
Coyotes are the best team in the NHL allowing only 2.1 goals per game. Bryzgalov has an excellent record this season allowing only 1.78 goals per game. They however lost at home to LA Kings last night and everytime they play against the Kings, they seem to lose their strength in disallowing goals. They conceded 5 goals in regulation.
Budaj will start for the Avalanche tonight , his first start this season and he praised his teammate Anderson for what he has done so far and added that he wants to contribute to his team's success like Anderson. We will see tonight.
We have decided on giving two picks for this game. First one is to go for Avalanche's victory as they are perfect at home this season winning all four games. They rested last night and they will be fresh and stronger with McLeod's return.
The second pick is to go UNDER with this one as Avalanche is 2nd best in the league when it comes to penalty kills, and the fact that Coyotes are the toughest team to score against, it makes it a very healthy choice to go UNDER.
