Premium Pick : October 20

We didn't have a lucky night last night and went 1-1 in two premium picks. Rangers started the match on a very high note and went up 2-0 easily, only to blew it with a huge loss to the San Jose Sharks. It didn't go as bad later as our second pick of the night was spot on with LA Kings beating the Stars 4-1, a game ending with UNDER 5,5 Goals.

We look at tonight's games. Three games and three tough games.

Columbus Blue Jackets @ Calgary:

Noone expected the Jackets to make it into the playoffs last season, and they look like they carried the momentum over to this season, going 5-1-0 in their franchise best start to the season.

Rick Nash, captain of the Jackets have scored in the last five games and he is ranked number 9 in NHL right now. Another key player is the goaltender Mason, with only 2.35 GA average so far.

Flames on the other side has not been good defensively. They blew a 5-0 lead at the United Center, losing 6-5 to the Blackhawks and then beat the Vancouver Canucks 5-3, where they had a similar 5-0 lead only that time they managed to somehow protect it.

Iginla and Jokinen are definitely the important players of this team but they have not been that great offensively. I expect Iginla to get better as the season progress but he has not been very good so far. If they can reach their best, I am sure the Flames will be scoring much more.

Injuries: Flames will be without David Moss and the Jackets are without Commodore and Hejda. No other certain injuries.

Looking at the stats between these two teams, The total has gone OVER in 6 of Calgary's last 7 games at home. Despite the fact that 7 out of 10 games between these teams in Calgary ended UNDER, I believe we have a high scoring waiting us tonight.
