Free NHL Pick: Ottawa Senators @ New York Rangers

April 26, 2012

Senators who won two regular season matches and two playoff games at Madison Square Garden is making a return to the very same place for Game 7 in series.

It looks like Senators couldn't have done better against another team but Rangers, looking at their regular season success against them. Now that they blew their chance to finish Rangers off on home ice, they will have to repeat their good performance at MSG once again.

When I was watching Game 6, I thought to myself "This Senators team should win this game". They were playing probably at their best and they were all over the Rangers team. The only problem with that was, their aggression costed them the game. When you play aggressively, you gotto take your chances in scoring, otherwise any team can punish you for that. That's exactly what happened to Senators. Missing scoring chances too many times, they allowed Rangers to stay in the game. OK,I'm not going to forget about the referees. They really made huge mistakes in calling penalties against Senators and they also missed a definite delay of game penalty against the New York team which would have resulted in a 5 on 3 powerplay chance for the home side. Whatever has happened, it's happened and Rangers won the game thanks to two quick goals that put them 3-1 up.

Senators played great late in third and they even managed to score one controversial goal but it was a little too late and Rangers survived Game 6 and took the series back to MSG.

I can not comment on who is going to be the winner tonight but I will be going with UNDER selection in this one. Both, Lundqvist and Anderson have been fantastic. They have been the best goaltenders in playoffs so far and considering the problems with scoring for both teams, I believe UNDER is our best bet here.

Free NHL Pick: UNDER 5 goals
